CyberCheckers is a tactical futuristic checkers game with ranked and unranked AI or online play, featuring persistent progression through rating (ELO) and ranks. Select your configuration, choose your side, then start the match. Battle it out!
Win by eliminating the opposing pieces or leaving the opponent without a legal move.
Regular pieces move diagonally forward. Pieces reaching the opposite side of the board are promoted to Kings, which may move both forward and backward.
Captures are mandatory. When another capture remains available after a jump, the same piece must continue the capture sequence. Before taking a piece, consider where the forced continuation may leave your unit 3 or 4 plies later.
To leave Cybercheckers and return to the main landing page for Cyberchess Portal games, you can simply click the Cyberchess logo in the top left-end corner of your screen (computers) or at the top of your screen (phones and tablet devices).
Tooltips can be turned on or off by clicking the tooltips button right under the sound mixer. To inspect a piece, you can hover your mouse over it for a second. On mobile devices you can long-press any piece on the board to inspect it.
Guests may play Unranked vs AI. Registered players can access ranked AI and online PvP modes. Competitive modes use restricted AI profiles.
AI search depth and tactical accuracy increase with rating. Stronger opponents calculate longer combinations and make fewer deliberate mistakes.
Rating gains and losses depend partly on the relative rating of both opponents. Checkers AI and online PvP maintain separate ranked progression.
Ranked progression and PvP features are only available to registered players. Login or create a free account from the portal to unlock all features.
